* Note that the Registrar Hold, placed on your account to prevent early registration, will automatically be removed on July 5.
Registration:
For step-by-step instructions on how to register for all of your Fall 2016 classes, see the How To Register document on CampusGroups. You must make sure that you are registering for the correct section. Failure to do this will result in account and OWL-Space issues. When you begin registration you will need the following:
* Standard Degree Plans for each program are accessible via CampusGroups and provide a comprehensive overview of your requirements throughout the program.
Issues:
All documents you need are linked above and are contained on CampusGroups. If you encounter any issues please contact your JGSB Registration Department (Maria Johnson or Sara Brooks – jgsbregistrar@rice.edu).
Register at your earliest convenience. Remember that you will only gain access to your course OWL-Space sites AFTER you register. On the course OWL-Space sites, that are published, you will find any materials your professors have posted which may include the syllabus and summer assignments. Note that OWL-Space is an automated system that refreshes Monday through Friday, typically in the morning and afternoon. Registration later in the day may result in a delay in the course OWL-Space site appearing in your list of available sites. If a professor has not published his/her course site yet, the site will not appear in your dashboard.
NEO Personality Inventory
Due July 18, 2016
Prior to Immersion you will need to complete the NEO Personality Inventory online for Professor Dr. Brent Smith’s session. The NEO is one of the more frequently used personality measures in applied or organizational contexts and has been demonstrated to be one of the most valid and reliable personality measures available. I urge you to respond honestly and accurately about yourself. Once you begin, you must complete the entire inventory for your results to be saved. It will take you about 30 minutes. If you have any questions please contact Kari Mullen at 713-348-3186 or kari.a.mullen@rice.edu.
NEO Assessment Instructions:
An email will be sent directly to your rice email account this week from PAR, noreply@parinc.com
Open the email and click on the link provided in the email to access the survey
Complete the entire assessment (your results will not save if you exit without completing the entire assessment and will not be provided to you when you arrive for immersion)
Please complete the NEO Assessment no later than Monday, July 18, 2016
About the NEO: The NEO is one of the most frequently used personality measures in organizations and has been demonstrated to be a valid predictor of management styles. The NEO is often used to assess managerial talent, diagnose management styles, and identify management development needs. You will receive an interpretive report that will help you understand how your personality affects your management style and help identify potential development areas.
