Be sure to join us for your Kickoff Reception on Friday, July 23 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Your reception will be held in the Anderson Family Commons, inside of McNair Hall. Enjoy complementary food, beverages, and the opportunity to meet key members of the EMBA community, which includes faculty, staff, and second-year student leaders. Most importantly, this will give you all the opportunity to connect with eachother prior to Kickoff.

Pre-MBA Quantitative Courses

Please begin working on your Pre-MBA Quantitative Courses through Coursera. Attached to this scoop is the official message from Senior Associate Dean Barbara Bennett Ostdiek regarding your courses. Please read it thouroughly, as it will prepare you for the MBA experience.

What should I be doing now?

  • Look over the onboarding checklist You will need to complete each item through your Canvas page.
    • Tip: Do not check off an item on your checklist before completion. If it is not finished, a Canvas administrator will mark it incomplete, and can result in a hold on your account.

Textbook Information

The Jones Graduate School provides you with all “Required” textbooks for each course that you are enrolled in during your time in the Executive MBA Program. You will obtain all of your textbooks from the Rice Campus Bookstore. Attached to this email you will find pertinent information on how you will obtain your textbooks from the Campus Bookstore.
