Welcome from the Career Development Office!
Dear Full-time MBA Class of 2023,
On behalf of the Career Development Office (CDO), welcome to Rice Business, Class of 2023! We are excited to welcome you to the Rice family and look forward to meeting each of you. Many of you are pursuing the MBA to advance your career, facilitate a career transition, or prepare for leadership roles within the business community. The CDO is here to serve as a resource and partner to ensure you reach your career goals.
The CDO provides students and alumni with a comprehensive suite of career services including career advising, resume and cover letter assistance, mock interviews, career education programs and workshops, networking events, on and off campus recruiting opportunities, job and internships postings, and access to a variety of online career and job search platforms.
We invite each of you to get acquainted with our services and resources by accessing our website at https://cdo.business.rice.edu/. Here you will find information organized by Career Communities, such as Consulting, Financial Services, Technology, and many others. You will also find on our website articles and blog posts, leads on job opportunities, companies that have hired Rice MBAs in the past, corporate recruiting information, alumni mentors, internship and job outcomes data, and profiles of our career services team. Students will receive access to the password-protected content on our website this summer.
Each of you should have received an invitation to access and take the CDO Career Course on Canvas. Be sure to complete the CDO Career Course by August 3. This is required for all incoming students and necessary to be approved for campus recruiting. Even if you decide not to take part in campus recruiting, we ask that you complete the course.
We look forward to seeing you at the Full-time MBA Kick-off and Launch events. At that time, we will take a deeper dive into the services and resources available to students. In the meantime, feel free to connect with me via LinkedIn. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Go Owls!
