Review the onboarding checklist to confirm that you are on track in submitting administrative items to help us prepare for your first day. You can access the Onboarding Checklist in your applicant portal at apply.business.rice.edu/account/login and click the ONBOARDING tab at the top.

Login to ESTHER and begin clearing the required holds that will prevent your registration for courses. Instructions to clear holds are available here.
- Media waiver
Complete the media waiver required of all students. Click here to access the Media Waiver.

Dear Incoming Hybrid MBA Class of 2026,
On behalf of the entire Rice community, we welcome you to the program and are excited to have you here! You are about to embark on a tremendous journey, and we encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow. Over the course of your studies, you are sure to undergo a series of personal, professional and academic challenges. Fear not though, as these challenges will undoubtedly shape you into a more resilient, adaptable and insightful leader in whatever you choose to pursue.
From the very first co-presidents of the very first class, here are a few tips we have for maximizing your experience:
First, take full advantage of all that Rice offers. As a member of the Rice family, you have access to world-class facilities and a network of accomplished alumni. Engage with the campus community, attend guest lectures, participate in events when you can and immerse yourself in the rich cultural and intellectual environment.
Second, lean into your online sessions. Keep your cameras on and come prepared for lively discussions. Engaging actively in these sessions not only enhances your learning experience but also fosters a sense of community and a fun connection with your peers and professors. The more you put into these interactions, the more you will get out of them.
Third, our professors are incredibly approachable and supportive. They are genuinely invested in your success, so don't hesitate to ask questions or seek help. Thanks to the flexibility of our professors, in several instances our class has been able to influence the curriculum to better suit our needs. Ask for what you need. Your proactive engagement can lead to a more tailored and beneficial learning experience for everyone.
Lastly and probably most importantly, enjoy the camaraderie with your classmates and your first-year teams. One of the most enriching aspects of the MBA experience is the relationships you build. These connections will be invaluable both professionally and personally. Embrace the opportunity to work closely with your teams, share your experiences and learn from one another. Get to know your classmates. The time you spend together will pass quickly, but the bonds you form can last a lifetime.
