Families Weekend Festival
GSA is hosting a Families Weekend Festival Friday, Oct. 12th from 5-8 pm at Founder's Court! The event is open to all graduate and post-doctoral students and their families, and faculty and staff and their families. We will have food trucks, music, face painting, balloon artists, crafting, and more!
Class of 2019: Spring registration is right around the corner, with “registration week” taking place November 12-16. We will have the detailed spring schedules available before the end of the month, but in the meantime, we wanted to remind you that all of the logistics information you need can be found on the Jones School Registrar and Advising CampusGroups site–just navigate to your program, then the Registration & Program FAQs section. You can also track your graduation progress by looking at your DegreeWorks account, or schedule an Advising Appointment to discuss any concerns you have as you move into your final semester. Let us know if you have any questions: jgsbregistrar@rice.edu.
Class of 2020: You are welcome to review the resources listed for Class of 2020 above, but we will handle your spring registration for you. Please be on the lookout for an email regarding removing your registration holds, which you will need to complete prior to November 12. The timing of this email will depend on when the university adds the registration holds to your account, but you can expect it to come in late October or early November.
Tutors
Finance Tutors are now available. You can schedule a session with a tutor through this online link - https://meetme.so/CentralizedTutoring - or through the Tutoring Section under the Registrar tab in CampusGroups.
Need Advising?
Maria Johnson, Director of Advising, Registration & Records, is happy to meet with you. To make sure that she is able to meet with you be sure to schedule an appointment. There are phone and in-person meeting options available.
Many of you have been requesting the use of a “Pro” Zoom account (so that you can meet for longer than 45 minutes). Unfortunately the university does not have enough Zoom licenses for each student that requests one. We are working on a solution and will communicate this in the next week or so. In the short term, please plan to extend the free version as needed. If you have questions please reach out to our Solutions Support Team at help@rice.edu.
