Seeking Jobs/Internships? Update Your Default Resume and Profile in OWL-Careers

If you are currently seeking internships/jobs and have completed our approval process to engage in recruiting through the Career Development Office, we wanted to make sure you were aware of the importance of keeping your profile updated and setting your most recent version of your resume as your default resume.

Our employer partners are provided resume books based on your profile characteristics, including your target functions and industries. As your targets may change throughout the program, it’s essential that you continue to keep this aspect of your profile updated.

Additionally, you may have revised your resume and uploaded it to the system to apply for a job, but also keep in mind that when employers are searching through resume books, your default resume is the version that is selected. Please ensure you have your the most recent, revised version of your resume set as your default.

Inuksuit Event w/ Dean Ostdiek

When: Saturday, February 16, 4pm
Where: in the grove, just inside Entrance 1 on Rice Campus

Dean Ostdiek invites you to join her for the “Inuksuit” a concert-length work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Luther Adams, will bring musicians and members of the community together with the leafy beauty of Rice University’s live oak grove on Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. in the grove just inside Entrance 1 on the Rice campus. The work encourages audience members to wander around the grove and create their own listening experience. Forty-five percussionists from Rice’s Shepherd School of Music and across the U.S. will spread out in the large live oak grove while playing drums, cymbals, gongs, glockenspiels and sirens. This will be the premiere performance with a landscape installation specifically designed for the work by Falon Mihalic. Using boulders, wood and cables, Mihalic’s design will create a listening map focused around a suspended chandelier in the center of the grove.
