Clear holds in ESTHER

  • Login to ESTHER and begin clearing the required holds that will prevent your registration for courses. Instructions to clear holds are available here
Onboarding and Media Survey Health Insurance Waiver

Stay tuned for additional details about Executive Forum 1 happening Monday, August 4th - Saturday, August 9th at McNair Hall on campus at Rice University. Please also plan to attend the Orientation Kickoff session on Saturday, July 26 as an additional resource before you come for Executive Forum 1.

Class Registration

Because the first semester of your MBA program is lock-step, you will not need to register for any courses yourself. Instead, the Registration and Student Records team (often known as "the Rice Business Registrar") will take care of this for you, ensuring that you are registered for the right classes.

We will be starting this process soon, but for us to do so, you need to have cleared all of your registration holds in ESTHER. If you haven’t already done so, you can find the directions on how to do this by clicking here. Not sure if you still have holds? The instructions show you how to check that as well!

Once you have been registered for your fall courses, you will receive an email from us detailing your fall schedule with instructions on how to double check that the registration is correct. Registration will give you access to your fall Canvas sites.  These sites are available only after the professor has published the course site, which is typically about two weeks prior to the start of the class.

Have questions? You can reach the Rice Business Registrar team by emailing jgsbregistrar@rice.edu.
