Welcome from the Career Development Office!

Dear Professional MBA Students,

On behalf of the Career Development Office (CDO), welcome to Rice Business! We are excited to welcome you to the Rice family and look forward to meeting each of you. We recognize the uncertainty of what the fall might bring, but the CDO team is committed to delivering a stellar experience for you. Many of you are pursuing the MBA to advance your career, facilitate a career transition and prepare for leadership roles within the business community. The CDO is here to serve as a resource and active partner to ensure you reach your career goals.

Each of you should have received an invitation to access and take the CDO Career Course on Canvas. Be sure to complete the CDO Career Course by August 3. This is required for all incoming students and necessary to be approved for campus recruiting. Even if you decide not to take part in campus recruiting, we ask that you complete the course. Requirements for campus recruiting approval include:

1. Complete the online course (just a reminder, everyone needs to complete the course, even if they aren’t pursuing internship recruiting).
2. Fill out this form by August 20 indicating your interest in internship recruiting. Internships will take place in summer 2021. Our office will notify you if you’ve been approved for on-campus recruiting after this date.
3. Attend the PMBA 2022 Internship Recruiting Workshop, set to be scheduled during Launch (more information on date and time to follow).
