Full-Time MBA Program
July 5, 2021
Class Registration
Because the first semester of your MBA program is lock-step, you will not need to register for any courses.. Instead, the Registrar team will take care of this for you, ensuring that you are registered for the right classes.
We will be starting this process this week, but for us to do so, you need to have cleared all of your registrations holds. If you haven’t already done so, you can find the directions on how to do this by clicking here. Not sure if you still have holds? The instructions show you how to check that as well!
Once you have been registered for your fall courses, you will receive an email from us detailing your fall schedule with instructions on how to double check that the registration is correct. Registration will give you access to your fall Canvas sites. These sites are available only after the professor has published the course site, which is typically about two weeks prior to the start of the class.
Have questions? You can reach the full JGSB team by emailing us at jgsbregistrar@rice.edu.
The Mentor Collective is a structured mentorship platform that pairs you with either a second year student or an alum from your MBA program. When applying for a mentor, you answer a series of questions that will pair you with the best match in our mentor pool. All mentors go through a multi-phase training prior to pairing, ensuring that mentees receive prepared mentors.
If you are interested in receiving a mentor, you will have the opportunity to apply for one during your launch. For more questions about Mentor Collective, please reach out to Andrew Shaw.
Apply To Be A Board Fellow
Board Fellows is an application-based organization, that allows for students to be individually paired with a local Houston Non-Profit Organization. The Board Fellows has been a Rice Business tradition for over 10 years. Many Board Fellows have gone on to serve as voting board members for the organizations they served on as a Fellow.
This year's Rice Board Fellows application is now live! Below is a timeline of important dates in the application process, and we will also share application tips on our new Instagram page (@ricebusinessboardfellows) throughout the summer. If you have specific questions about the application process, please reach out to Chief Talent Officer, Lizzie Jones (eaj5@rice.edu).
Applications open: July 5 Applications close: August 27 Interviews & Selection: September 2022-2023 Board Fellows Announced: October 15 Mandatory Board Fellows Training: November
Tip: Do not check off an item on your checklist before completion. If it is not finished, a Canvas administrator will mark it incomplete, and can result in a hold on your account.
