Seattle Trek
Registration for the Seattle Trek opens September 4th at noon on OWL-Careers on a first come, first serve basis. Limited to 25 students. Mark your calendars!
You must send confirmation of your flight Tiffany Stott by September 14th to continue to reserve your spot. After that date, all RSVPs without flight confirmations will be released to the waitlist.
Details: Students should plan to arrive on Wednesday, October 10th. Company visits will take place in Seattle on Thursday, October 11th, and Friday, October 12th. We will also be attending a Seattle Alumni Happy Hour on Thursday evening to continue our networking and provide students the chance to meet with local alums. Participants will be expected to provide transportation to and from Seattle, as well as accommodations. Transportation for employer site visits will be provided by the CDO, and pick-up and drop-off will be from a central location. Space is limited. This is an educational trek (not recruiting based) for students to learn more about the companies in the Seattle region. You must attend all days and the entire schedule. We are currently confirmed to meet with alums at Starbucks, Nordstrom, T-Mobile, Expedia and Amazon. The schedule/companies is subject to change at any time. We will continue to add to the list as we secure visits (max. 6 site visits).
The pick-up and drop-off location will be the Hyatt Seattle/Downtown (110 6th Avenue North Seattle), but you are welcome to find alternative accommodations nearby.
Houston Trek
The Career Development Office will be hosting a two-day trek to energy companies around Houston on October 8th and 9th.
Registration for the Houston Trek opens Wednesday September 5th at noon on OWL-Careers on a first come, first serve basis.
The following companies have confirmed, with additional companies in the works: Anadarko, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Newfield. Additional companies will be added on the registration page as they confirm.

Introducing: Career Labs
New this year, we’re offering topic-focused drop-in group chats every Wednesday in room 107B from 11:20 AM – 12:20 PM starting September 5th. Our topic for the month of September will be networking, so please bring your questions on anything networking-related during this casual session – no need to RSVP. Please bring your lunch, as we will not providing lunch during these sessions.

Also, please complete the Diversity Conference Attendance Survey if you register for a conference, for us to share with employers who want to connect with you at the conference. We’ll also be communicating with you regarding goings-on at the conference, but can’t do so if we don’t know you’re going!

Personal Branding Workshop
We are offering evening workshops to help you with your career development! First up, we are going to explore the concept of personal branding. Standing out in your job search has become a crucial element of job search success. That all begins with your personal brand and understanding what you truly want in your career and life. This workshop will help you in getting to the root of who you truly are, and assist you in translating the “stories you tell yourself about yourself” into the core tenets of your personal brand. Alumni Mock Interviews – for *Second Year* Students APPROVED for Recruiting only
We will be holding mock interviews with our consulting alums on September 7th for second year students interested in consulting, who have been approved for recruiting.
