Welcome to Houston!
Rice Business is so proud to be part of the Houston Community. Houston is truly remarkable in its makeup of people and cultures (there is no ethnic majority), great cost of living, and excellent food options! We know that many of you will be moving to Houston in the next few weeks and we wanted to share a bit about what makes Houston such an amazing place to live.
We hope that over the next two years, you will have many opportunites to discover what makes Houston special and that it will feel like home. Don't be afraid to ask your classmates who already call Houston home why they couldn't imagine living anywhere else!
Are you a graduate student interested in entrepreneurship? Considering a path as a founder? Lilie Lab, Rice’s on-campus entrepreneurship center, is hosting the Future Founder’s Summit August 7-8th and you could be part of it. With workshops, alumni panels, and a hackathon, you’re sure to leave the weekend feeling more energized than ever about making a career out of tackling big problems. You can learn more and apply here or reach out to Sophie Randolph with any questions.

Apply To Be A Board Fellow
Board Fellows is an application-based organization, that allows for students to be individually paired with a local Houston Non-Profit Organization. The Board Fellows has been a Rice Business tradition for over 10 years. Many Board Fellows have gone on to serve as voting board members for the organizations they served on as a Fellow.
This year's Rice Board Fellows application is now live!
