Class of 2019: Spring registration is right around the corner, with “registration week” taking place November 12-16. We will have the detailed spring schedules available before the end of the month, but in the meantime, we wanted to remind you that all of the logistics information you need can be found on the Jones School Registrar and Advising CampusGroups site–just navigate to your program, then the Registration & Program FAQs section. You can also track your graduation progress by looking at your DegreeWorks account, or schedule an Advising Appointment to discuss any concerns you have as you move into your final semester. Let us know if you have any questions: jgsbregistrar@rice.edu.
Class of 2020: You are welcome to review the resources listed for Class of 2020 above, but we will handle your spring registration for you. Please be on the lookout for an email regarding removing your registration holds, which you will need to complete prior to November 12. The timing of this email will depend on when the university adds the registration holds to your account, but you can expect it to come in late October or early November.
Add/Drop Deadlines
The deadline to make changes to your Term 2 courses (in all programs) is Friday, November 2. As a reminder, course changes must be made prior to the first class meeting for all non-standard term courses.

The week of October 7th is Mental Health Awareness week. To honor that this year, some classmates have put together an initiative called Vent Buddies. It aims to in a small way contribute to mental well-being on the Rice Business campus.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or just need a person to vent to, you can find a Vent Buddy! Attached you’ll see a flier containing names of classmates and staff who have volunteered to be Vent Buddies* and be called on for a friendly chat. We know many of you are already doing this with your classmates, colleagues, and in your communities without any prompt or special initiative; this is one of the great things about Rice Business! Conversations with Vent Buddies will be kept private.
*Please note that none of the Vent Buddies are professional counselors. All students are encouraged to reach out to the Rice Counseling Center for free counseling when needed @ (713) 348-3311 (24 hours) & @The Barbara and David Gibbs Wellness Center, 1st floor (across from McNair) -M-F-9am-5pm.
Come enjoy an evening with faculty, staff, and all of the Dean's in the Anderson Family Commons and Woodson Courtyard. We will have Pappas BBQ, adult beverages, and a DJ.
