Welcome from the Hybrid Rice Business Student Association

Dear Incoming Rice Business Hybrid MBA Class of 2027,

On behalf of the entire Rice Business Student Association (RBSA) and the Rice Business community, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the Hybrid MBA program! We are thrilled to have you join us and can’t wait to see the unique perspectives and energy you’ll bring to our community.

You are about to begin a transformative journey—one that will challenge you academically, professionally, and personally. Embrace these challenges! Each hurdle is an opportunity to grow more resilient, adaptable, and insightful. You are joining a tradition of excellence, and we have every confidence that your experience here will shape you into an even stronger leader, ready to make an impact in your chosen field.

To help you make the most of your time at Rice Business, we’d like to share a few tips from our community:

Take Advantage of Everything Rice Offers

As a Rice Business student, you are part of a vibrant network with access to world-class facilities, groundbreaking research, and a global alumni community. Engage with campus life—attend guest lectures, join student organizations, and immerse yourself in the rich culture and intellectual environment that Rice has cultivated.

Lean Into Your Hybrid Experience

Our Hybrid MBA is designed to offer the best of both worlds: the flexibility of online learning and the richness of in-person connections. Keep your cameras on during virtual sessions, come prepared, and participate actively. The more you invest in these interactions, the more you’ll gain—both academically and in building lasting friendships.

Connect with Your Professors

Our faculty are dedicated, accessible, and truly invested in your success. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or seek guidance. Many students have found that their proactive engagement has shaped the curriculum and enhanced the learning experience for everyone.

Build Relationships with Your Classmates

Some of the most valuable experiences in your MBA journey will come from the relationships you build with your peers and first-year teams. Take time to get to know your classmates, collaborate closely on projects, and support each other through challenges. These connections will enrich your time at Rice and continue to benefit you long after graduation.

Welcome to Rice Business!

We are excited to have you here and look forward to all you will achieve and contribute. Get ready for an incredible experience that will shape your future in profound ways. Wishing you the very best as you embark on your MBA journey!

Sincerely,

Sanchit Singhal

💻 Career Course Reminder
Quick reminder: You should have access to the CDO Async Career Toolkit on Canvas. It’s required before Launch if you are a PMBA student and intend on seeking an internship in your first year. For all others, it is not required, but highly suggested even if you do not plan on recruiting as a student. The content will help you assess where you are in your career and also cover internal growth at your current company/industry and how to make the most of your time as a working professional student.
