Full-Time MBA

July 8, 2024

What should I be doing now?

Review the onboarding checklist to confirm that you are on track in submitting administrative items to help us prepare for your first day. You can access the Onboarding Checklist in your applicant portal at apply.business.rice.edu/account/login and click the ONBOARDING tab at the top.

It is essential that, if you have past-due items, you get caught up as soon as possible.

Stay tuned for additional details about Full-Time MBA Launch happening Monday August 12th - Friday August 23rd at McNair Hall on campus at Rice University.

Class Registration

Because the first semester of your MBA program is lock-step, you will not need to register for any courses yourself. Instead, the Registration and Student Records team (often known as "the Rice Business Registrar") will take care of this for you, ensuring that you are registered for the right classes.

We will be starting this process this week, but for us to do so, you need to have cleared all of your registration holds in ESTHER. If you haven’t already done so, you can find the directions on how to do this by clicking here. Not sure if you still have holds? The instructions show you how to check that as well!

Once you have been registered for your fall courses, you will receive an email from us detailing your fall schedule with instructions on how to double check that the registration is correct. Registration will give you access to your fall Canvas sites.  These sites are available only after the professor has published the course site, which is typically about two weeks prior to the start of the class.

Have questions? You can reach the Rice Business Registrar team by emailing jgsbregistrar@rice.edu.
