What should I be doing now?

Review the onboarding checklist to confirm that you are on track in submitting administrative items to help us prepare for your first day. You can access the Onboarding Checklist in your applicant portal at apply.business.rice.edu/account/login and click the ONBOARDING tab at the top.

If you have not already done so, complete your Onboarding Survey and your Media Survey.

ALL students are required to either waive the health insurance offered by Rice or purchase the Rice Health Insurance Plan. Available to register starting July 1.

What Can You Do Now:

Complete the CDO Career Course: Each of you should have received an invitation to access and take the CDO Async Career Toolkit for Working Professionals Course on Canvas. Be sure to complete the CDO Career Course by Launch. This is required for all incoming students who wish to participate in any campus-based recruiting events. Email cdo@rice.edu if you have any trouble accessing the course.

Kickstart Your Career Journey: Start working on updating your resume into the Rice Business format and engage with our career education programs and workshops. You can also check out our AI-powered career tools: the Career Coach Assistant answers your questions anytime, and the Exploration Assistant helps you uncover career paths that align with your background and interests. If you’re still exploring options, you’ll also want to visit our Career Exploration & Industry Research page for curated tools, insights, and resources to guide your thinking.

You'll also have access to articles and blog posts, internship and job outcomes data, and our career services team profiles. You will receive access to the password-protected content on our website this summer, where you’ll log in with your NetID and NetID password.
