Empowering Rice Women

Rice Business Women's Organization

Our Mission

The Rice Business Women’s Organization (RBWO) exists to empower, connect, and build lasting communities for graduate women and allies.

We bring together people from diverse backgrounds to build confidence, share resources, and amplify women’s presence in spaces where they are underrepresented.

Through meaningful connections, mentorship, and collaboration with other organizations, we create opportunities that help members grow as leaders, leave a legacy of inclusion, and ensure every person feels they truly belong.

All current students of the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University are eligible for membership. The Rice Business Jewish Student Association adheres to Rice University commitment to not discriminate against individuals on the basis of protected categories under the law. See Rice University’s non-discrimination commitment here: https://eos.rice.edu

Women in Energy Panel

On April 3rd, Rice Business Women's Organization (RBWO) & Energy & Cleantech Association (ECA)are bringing together accomplished women leaders in energy for a conversation that goes beyond the classroom. The discussion will explore how influence and power actually operate inside large energy organizations, what leadership really looks like for women in 2026, and how to move from navigating the culture to shaping it. This is not a typical networking event. It is a moderated panel built around three topics that matter: how decisions actually get made in energy organizations, the assertive vs. likeable dynamic in leadership, and what it takes to move from surviving to shaping the industry. The session includes interactive segments and closes with audience Q&A. Seats are limited.
