The RBSA Mission

The Rice Business Student Association facilitates constructive communication between the student body and the administration, faculty, and staff at the Jones Graduate School of Business. Additionally, the RBSA creates an atmosphere which promotes interaction between all JGSB students and the community surrounding the JGSB including; opportunities within Rice University, the Association of Rice Alumni, other top-tier MBA programs, and the international business community. As a result, the RBSA aims to maximize student access and opportunities, optimize learning, and increase the value of the Rice MBA.

What We Do

The RBSA facilitates communication between the Full-Time student body and the JGSB administration, faculty, and staff. To that end, the RBSA hosts a weekly Lunch Colloquium on most Monday afternoons from 11:15 AM - 12:30 PM. These forums afford members of the student body, faculty, staff, and administration a formal venue to pass along important information to the student body.

Furthermore, the RBSA serves as a catalyst for the JGSB student experience and culture. The RBSA team accomplishes this by organizing numerous networking, professional, and social events throughout the year. These events are meant to help build community, as well as give students a chance to unwind from the rigors of the program.
