Jones Gives Back Volunteer Day is part of the Jones Gives Back program and was created to get students, staff, and faculty "beyond the hedges" and out into the community to make a difference. It is a half day event that includes five volunteer locations to choose from and appetizers and drinks after at Porch Swing Pub on the corner of Washington and Heights Blvd. Significant others are welcome to attend (please select 2 tickets when RSVPing). Unfortunately, because of liability reasons children are not able to attend.

This spring's organizations are:
• Project C.U.R.E.-https://projectcure.org/
Volunteers will work on a range of projects including sorting donations of medical supplies and administrative tasks.

• Small Steps Nurturing Center-https://ssnc.org/
Volunteers will help clean vans, toys, chairs and potentially help put up Valentines decorations.

• Magpies & Peacocks-http://www.magpiesandpeacocks.com/
This volunteer project will consist of sorting inventory (clothing, interiors, etc...) and some light furniture moving.

• Memorial Park Conservancy-http://memorialparkconservancy.org/
Memorial Park Conservancy volunteers are essential to all aspects of park management, ecological restoration, and park beautification. You can expect to get your hands dirty, so please wear long pants, and dress appropriately for the weather. We will provide the gloves and tools needed for the day.

• Houston Food Bank http://www.houstonfoodbank.org/
Volunteers will sort and package food or other items. ***Please note that this volunteer site will start at 8 a.m.
